Links with professional bodies
We belong to several professional associations and comply with those industry regulations critical for maintaining standards and expertise. To become part of these organisations we undergo strict Health & Safety Assessments which are updated on a regular basis.
We are mainly involved with the following organisations:
|
ConstructionlineThis organisation is a register of building contractors and consultants. It pre-qualifies those who apply for registration to ensure that the company or individual has the competencies they claim. Some 8,000 buyers from 2,000 organisations use the database to source contractors within the industry. V.M. Construction is part of this database as evidence of our credentials to perform work to specific government regulations.
The Construction and Industry Training Board (CITB)
V.M. Construction pays its levy to the CITB which is the national training organisation for the U.K. construction industry. (Details on CITB website.) |
CSCS & CDM.All of our workforce hold Construction Skills Certificate Scheme ("CSCS") cards. These identify the skill and expertise level of the individual. To obtain a card each employee has to undertake a CITB health, safety and environment test.
We are fully conversant with the Construction and Design Management (CDM) regulations which are statutory obligations for all major construction projects. |
