V.M. Construction offers clients a full set of building and construction services to renovate, repurpose, refurbish, restore, repair, convert and maintain your property both inside and out.

​This is reflected in recent  years in our work for NHS Trusts. We have worked continuously on building work, new projects and maintenance for some years. This includes extensive work performed throughout the period of the COVID-19 pandemic.

NHS work requires a high calibre of focus and skill as the work is very specific in its requirements and execution. This is as you would expect when dealing with the health of people, and the environment the medical staff have to work in.

Who we are
V.M. Construction Limited was founded in 1996 by Michael Smith who has over 45 years experience in the building industry. Michael uses his wide reaching, professional experience to  develop a detailed plan and costings for each client project. He then manages new project personally until it has reached a stage where he can pass it on to his Qualified Supervisors .

All price quotes for work are discussed and agreed to the specifications and anticipated timescale.

VM Construction is based in Northwood, Middlesex, operating exclusively in the Greater London area and within the boundaries of the M25.

Key areas of our building  services

Refurbishing

In recent years we have worked extensively for NHS clients. Optimising capacity within hospitals is essential given the limitations on available space. Our focus is on creating new wards and extending medical facilities.

Renovations

Our history is one renovating and refurbishing property and space. This has been done for a diverse set of clients both commercial and private. Building extensions, renovating old buildings, changing office space and transforming homes.

Conversions

Our conversions make better use of empty and redundant space. We develop efficient and attractive spaces for work, hospitality, retail and the home. Conversions can provide a new perspective to an office or a lifestyle, and add value to your home.

We work with a broad range of Clients 

Public

We are contracted to perform regular building work by public health bodies. Our approach has to be highly sensitive as we often perform work in areas and wards where patients are undergoing treatment.

Commercial

We work on large building projects usually as sub-contractors of multinational development companies and firms of architects. Our skills have been used in retail and the hospitality industry. We carry out essential renovations for local businesses

Individuals

We have done many projects for private individuals. The type of work extends from repairs to essential maintenance. Larger projects have included: building extensions; internal and external renovations; and conversions.
