Laying the foundations

Removing the old

At the beginning of the project the property literally turns into a building site. It is a major transformation so the work needed has to be destructive to allow for the reconstruction to take place.

The first steps are to demolish the old building work, and in this case literally tear everything down.

This is not pretty, but the focus is to do it as quickly as possible. Our practice is to do things quickly as we do within the NHS (where speed is literally critical)

Using the right equipment to demolish the specific areas is an essential part of our efficiency.

As the renovation and conversion was substantial- it was  almost a "new build".
  • Taking down and removing the back of the house
  • Digging up the  garden to be used as a the site base  (and to allow a new landscaped design)
  • Kitchen and back reception room to make way for open space and upper level
  • Inner walls removed (plus windows)
  • The roof and ceilings removed
  • All the floors torn up

What should you consider - laying the foundations

The start of the building for renovations or conversions will involve taking down the existing structures, walls, surrounds, windows, ceiling and possibly the roof. This does not leave much.

You also need to consider where this can be done, because we do need an area to place equipment and hold the  demolished materials and parts.

We do move quickly, so the building waste is moved away quickly. And we will tell you of any inconvenience which will be involved.

Of course the end result will be worth it.
